Theme park vacations are one of the most popular choices. But there’s always the question, “What should I pack?”. Don’t fret. We’ve taken the guess work out for you! Here are items you should always pack for an easy and fun theme park vacation.
Your Own Bag
It may seem like a hassle to go through the no bag line, but it’s always beneficial to bring your own bag. You can use a bag to keep a few essentials such as sunscreen, water bottles, and your wallet safe without having to worry about it falling out of your pocket. Most theme parks also have lockers where you can temporarily store your bag for those big thrill rides.
Comfortable Clothes and Shoes
Most of the time when you go to a theme park, it is not a fashion show. You are going to be walking around, waiting in lines, and depending on the weather, possibly sweating in the hot sun! Wearing comfortable clothes doesn’t have to be boring. You can find great casual tops and bottoms that aren’t going to make your theme park vacation a hassle.
Something else that you should always do is bring shoes that are comfortable. A theme park vacation is not the time to break in your brand new tennis shoes, and you most likely won’t need that super cute pair of booties. Find some shoes that provide your feet with the support you need.
It doesn’t matter what the weather is, sunscreen should always be on your packing list for any vacation. Even if it is raining outside the UV rays that cause damage to your skin are still peeking through the clouds. You also need to wear sunscreen during the winter because the UVA rays are still as strong as they are in the summer.
Bringing your own sunscreen to the park ensures that you are protected all day long. Sunscreen eventually wears off, so you will need to reapply while you are having fun. You can also wear a hat to protect your face from the sun.
Most theme park hotels have amazing pools that you won’t want to miss out on. Wearing a bathing suit under your clothes to a theme park for the day can also help you dry quicker after riding the water rides. If you are planning on visiting a water park, don’t forget to pack a cover up to walk around in. Pro Tip: Take a wet swimsuit bag with you to protect the rest of your clothing in your suitcase!
A Portable Charger
A lot of times we are too busy enjoying our day to notice that our phone battery is dying. Some theme parks have phone apps for dinner reservations, ride passes, and even as your hotel key. So you’ll need to make sure that your phone has at least a small charge. Some portable chargers are small enough to fit into a clutch and they can keep you connected with the outside world.
