Machu Picchu, Peru

You’ll need a guide for this excursion and the trail is limited to 500 people per day. According to Smarter Travel, the best time to visit Machu Picchu is between July and October, when the weather is cooperative. However, be warned that because of the pleasant weather, it is also the busiest time to visit this area so make sure to book your tickets in advance. You can either go with a tour group or book your own adventure.
Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
The Galapagos Islands are about 600 miles off the cost of Ecuador and house some of the most beautiful natural flora, fauna, and wildlife species in the world. Endangered tortoises, flamingos, sea lions, and penguins are just a few of the animals that inhabit the remote island. Stay at the Golden Bay Galapagos which is right in the harbor of San Cristobal Island and gives a firsthand view of sea lions on the beach in front of the hotel.
Mount Fuji, Japan
For those that enjoy climbing, Mt. Fuji rises 12,388 feet above the village below. Official climbing season runs from July to September when the trails and roads are snow-free. Tip: Be at the summit for the sunrise since it is usually shaded by clouds by mid-morning and for the rest of the day. If climbing is not your thing, you can still get a great view from Lake Kawaguchi, while exploring the area’s hot springs and trail runs.
